True stories in the experience room of the renewed informationcentre
In the new experience room of the Information Center stories are told of soldiers buried in the Canadian Cemetery in Holten. Also the story of Bill, the uncle of Virginia Tingley from Canada.
"We are as a family very happy that Uncle Bill has been chosen to be included in this room. We have always kept his memory alive in our family. I was fortunate enough to visit Holten war cemetery and I was very touched by the wonderful care taken of each grave. I took a lot of pictures to show my mother(Lorna) and my Aunt Mary as they had never had the opportunity to visit. My sister Linda Fury and I have done a presentation on Uncle Bill a few times at our reunion and at a church in the area. They have been numerous family members who. Have visited Holten War Cemetery, we are so happy he is buried there, I told my mother and aunt after visiting Holten,”if a soldier has to be buried away from his home land that Holten War Cemetery is the perfect place”."
